Fun With Photoshop!

I found this cool book at the library last Monday called, "Alternative Digital Photography," by John G. Blair. Here is one of the things I learned to do, Hand-Colored Black and White. Very quick and easy to do...I LOVE the dramatic effect it has on this simple photo....yaaaay!

I can't wait to learn more fun things with Photoshop!

Tough Day

I visited a friend in the ICU today. It had been years since we last talked.

I Voted!

As I walked up to the polling place, I couldn't help but feel an overwhelming surge of patriotism. I have been registered to vote since I was of age, but have only been to the polls once before.

Dylan's 1st Birthday Party

Today we went to Dylan's 1st birthday party. Kyra had so much fun running around and playing with the kids. It was nice to see everyone & spend time with family.

Digital Scrapbooking

I've been putting off making any scrapbooks for a number of reasons...namely because I spend most of my time looking after my two girls, Kyra (2) and Ava (4 1/2 months). I recently discovered that Costco now prints 12 x 12 photos geared for the new digital scrapbooking craze...I got really excited & started playing around with my Photoshop. Here is what my very first page looks like so far:



This is going to be a lot of fun & there is no mess to clean up afterwards! Apparently there are digital scrapbooking kits that you can buy (around $10 for a kit) and that looks like even MORE fun! A great webpage I found is www.pclayers.com. They have some really nice artwork.
